Wonder if losing the ride has to do with the rearing at Herning. Would certainly like to know more details considering the horse is 17 and has more than proven himself and probably should hang up his shoes and enjoy retirement, but alas. It went to leading u25 rider Harry Charles. Before Brian was it campaigned by Darragh Kenny.
I know the news just broke over here this year right before Harry started showing it, but the horse went to Harry last August. I don't have any insider scoop other than stating the obvious the Brian's results with the horse had become rather poor. Harry is hit or miss with him.
I hope Ann has plans to retire him soon. I guess I can understand not wanting to retire him after his not so great run with Brian there at the end, but what else does the horse have left to prove? The lackluster performance of last year didn't stop his popularity as a stallion. Let him go out sound and healthy.
I agree Harry is definitely a hit or miss..... did you see him in the NC of Dublin.
You guys were not looking close enough at the recent photos of Balou standing tacked and the photo op with Harry for the London Horse Show in December. Go look at his tagged photos on IG. They pulled his shoes. He's either been on holiday resetting his body, or he's done, we'll see.
Harry's Billabong Du Roumois is barefoot and it was previously campaigned by barefooter Julien Epaillard.
