Julien and Matt Harris

Post by It.aint.that.serious »

Do not do business with Julien or Matthew Harris. They are negligent, lazy, and liars. My friend has a show horse with them worth well over $200,000 that was left tied to the back of his stall with the stall door open for an unknown amount of hours until he was found by his owner at 9pm. This horse had no feed bucket in his stall unlike the other 20 odd head in the barn and tied no where near his water buckets in a rope halter. When asked why this had happened, they gave the answer of “he was colicky and ulcer-ey and we had a dinner reservation ”. Overlooking the fact that tying a horse in a halter that cannot break for hours on end would do nothing for either of those ailments except open up the opportunity for it to break its neck if it truly was so uncomfortable he had to lay down; As incredibly successful horse trainers I would hope that they would have the knowledge to know that maybe a horse with an upset stomach should have ACCESS TO WATER. The reality of the situation is that this horse got lunged early afternoon, tied to dry after a bath and was forgotten due to those oh so pressing dinner reservations.
This is not at all an isolated instance of willing negligence but the straw that broke the camel’s back. Be careful of these people.

I would like to revise this post as it had caused discourse beyond the realm of my intention. I have attempted to contact admins to get this removed, but to no avail. This post was not made in my right mind and urge the public strongly to disregard it. I should not have stepped between mentioned friend and trainer. Their business practices are beyond my knowledge. Mentioned horse is healthy and has not been mistreated.
