Lame horse for sale
Anybody else see the post of the horse for sale (5 figures minimum) with a current major suspensory? Lol

Re: Lame horse for sale
There was one a few months ago, same details, out of... I think Tenn.? A lady -- Jeannie, Jeanine?-had him, and not her first rodeo at this sort of thing.

What am I supposed to do about it exactly? Honestly. My point was that people are wild about asking prices and who knows how the horse is already rehabbing at six.Baysfordays wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 11:43 pmHow is the funny? Poor horse. Use your voice. Call them out or message the trainer instead of gossiping about a horse that obviously needs help.anonymouse wrote: ↑Thu Aug 17, 2023 11:57 pmWhat am I supposed to do about it exactly? Honestly. Well the horse is getting help… the owner stated it was lame… it’s just wild to me that we’re selling lame horses for 5 figures.Baysfordays wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 3:04 amUse your voice. Nope lol. Been in it for almost 20 years-- specifically in the hunter jumper world. Just because bad pricing is common doesn't mean it's correct (for example, yes I would understand why a winning high jr jumper would be between 6 and 7 figures). Did you read the original post? How did we get to the point of selling crippled horses for 5 figures??Anon99 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 9:54 pmAre you new to the sport?anonymouse wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 8:31 pmWell the horse is getting help… the owner stated it was lame… it’s just wild to me that we’re selling lame horses for 5 figures.Baysfordays wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 3:04 am

Re: Lame horse for sale
I see lame horses at every single show I go to. Recently looked at a lease horse that CLEARLY had dsld. Owner was appalled that I didn’t let my rider try it out. Yeah, I’m not putting someone’s life at risk- owner should be thanking me as the client is an atty. I know the horse, that kept shifting weight every 15 seconds from one hind to another was thanking me. The daily prevacox wasn’t helping this poor horse at all. Owner is completely in the dark about how bad it is. Kept bringing up wind puffs. Baby, this is far worse than some wind puffs.
. Straight stifles, straight hocks and a concave fetlock area in addition to dropped fetlocks…….I feel bad for the horse. Not to mention the owner was double dipping into the lease. Unreal.
