devon, upperville, deb and her dementia

Post by mike hunt »

anyone have anything interesting aside from peter doubleday and david distler and their “retirement” from the devon horse show ?? heard kim prince had a really bad fall at upperville yesterday. any updates on her condition ?? heard deb stephens has some sort of early onset dementia/alzheimer’s type thing i see the majority of the business and riding is being done by the ILLUSTRIOUS marquee cincotta horse dealer extraordinaire who is about as low rent as they come.

Heard P&D were over the Devon management especially after the mgmt flipped out about the meal that was being served after the grooms class. Supposedly it hadn’t been approved and P&D were in hot water.

Kim’s horse tripped at the walk and maybe fell on her (?). She had surgery (rod & screws in her neck to stabilize vertebrae). Word is she couldn’t move her hands after the fall. Don’t know about legs. Def doesn’t sound great.

Don’t know about DS, don’t really care either.

Vivian Golden rode in 35 classes over 2 days at Upperville. Mostly for Betsee. Seems like a lot for a 12-13 year old kid.

Yeah, she basically broke 3 neck bones. Supposed to be in ICU+observation for the first two days, so it's to be expected. Poor Kim. :(
