Just finished watching the Nations Cup in Falsterbo, Sweden, what’s the deal with Karl Cook’s DYI striped helmet?
As I recall, team riders have always worn a logo less, neutral helmet as part of the team. Was this ok with Rob Ridland???
Not sure why he felt the need to stand out from his other team members, seems a little disrespectful to his team mates?

Are you not familiar with him and his helmet/jacket antics?
Re: Karl Cook’s Nations Cup DYI Striped Helmet
he’s quite unusual. ain’t fuckin’ right. he’s either just messing around for attention or has a sickness of the mind. wish i had placed a wager on how long his 5 minute marriage to that freaky freak kaley cuckoo lasted. he looks so dirty i have resisted the urge to run up to him and spray him with lysol fortunately the amount of times i have been close enough have been few and far between and i would also be afraid of being close enough to catch diseases. he is the male version of “flying feathers” as far as i am concerned. it is nice to have people like him around so in the slow summer months we have something to talk about.

I recall how he made his own riding coats but thought that if you’re a member of the USEF team,
novel individuality takes a back seat? Maybe there’s an origin story behind the helmet design
that is missing here? He wore an unmarked helmet while participating in the Thunderbird Nation’s Cup
so there must be more to the story?

I quite like his uniqueness. What was the matter with his helmet?

Also appreciate his uniqueness but have noticed USEF Nations Cup riders have always kept their helmets non-descript, the team looks unified in appearance with no one rider’s helmet standing out all these years. Just curious to know if there is a team uniform code for their helmets?
Re: Karl Cook’s Nations Cup DYI Striped Helmet
,...what a disgusting insult to the United States Showjumping Olympic team....what a shot show this dude put up...fuck him if he is a billionaire...how disgusting....how embarrassing for all of us....
Re: Karl Cook’s Nations Cup DYI Striped Helmet
Wow. Just wow. That helmet is hideous. Nothing screams I’m a spoiled billionaire with millions of dollars of horses in my mommy’s name and need more attention like that helmet. Fine if you want to wear it for individual stuff but I agree it’s just trashy to wear when representing team USA. I can’t imagine what McLain or Kent think of this helmet. His results are not consistent enough to get away with this helmet. No wonder you rarely see him on a team… I agree. He is a complete embarrassment and a shit show.
Re: Karl Cook’s Nations Cup DYI Striped Helmet
I find his walking and talking merchandise far more appalling. “Fuck off” printed all over the merchandise advertised on his IG. Great representation of Team USA and the kids and young riders looking up to the team. USEF should be ashamed to support this jerk with our membership dollars. Seems to be he only cares about himself and doesn’t care how he reflects on the USA team. You don’t see Springsteen doing crazy things and she comes from a rock and roll family.
